Political Posturing Ahead of “Two Sessions”

China’s biggest headlines in recent days were primarily political, with international attention focused on the 5000 movers and shakers attending the annual “Two Sessions” policy-making jubilee. There was much to discuss on the conference agenda. Aside from ongoing concerns of slowing economic growth and a Trump presidency, attendees were abuzz with news of financial regulatory restructure, insurance and banking anti-corruption campaigns, and South Korea’s missile defense system.
